For the second time in as many months, NRG Media is selling off some of its radio stations in Illinois. The Mary Quass-led company has agreed to sell “River Country 101.7” WRCV, AC “Sky 95.7” WSEY and adult standards WIXN (1460) in Dixon, IL for $950,000 to Shaw Media, a newspaper publisher based in suburban Chicago. The deal also includes the Dixon, IL-licensed translator W23DM at 95.1 FM which simulcasts WIXN.
