As Support For AM Builds In Congress, Lawmakers Keep Pressure On Car Industry
Congress continues to keep the pressure on the auto industry in the fight to keep AM radio in vehicle dashboards. Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Ed Markey (D-MA) sent letters to seven carmakers on Friday, urging them to stick with AM after previously announcing plans to drop it as a feature.

An interference complaint filed by Sumarrase Inc.’s Caribbean “Suga 95.7” WSGD-LP Lehigh Acres FL against Fort Myers Broadcasting Company’s W239CL Golden Gate has ended with a $2500 fine against the LPFM being proposed.
