There is still no sign of the political ad market slowing down as spending continues to pace well ahead of what was allocated to ad buys at this point during the prior presidential election cycle. The political ad tracking service AdImpact says $564 million was spent through Aug. 4. That is well ahead of the $293 million that was spent at this point four years ago.
Saga To Launch Online Newspapers Across Its Footprint
Katie Gambill, who developed Clarksville Now, an online newspaper for Saga Communications’ Clarkesville, TN cluster, has been promoted to the newly created position of Director of Online News Brands for the company. Under her leadership Saga says the Clarksville cluster experienced “exponential growth” in its online audience and engagement with the Clarksville community. Now Saga is deploying this product across its entire footprint.
