Now Open: The FCC Starts Collecting Annual Fees; Stations Must Pay By Sept. 26.
Fresh off making its decision about how much radio and other industries will pay in annual regulatory fees, the Federal Communication Commission has thrown open its virtual cashier’s window to start collecting the money. The Commission Registration System (or CORES) has opened up for payment of the 2024 fees, which must be received by the FCC by 11:59pm (ET) on Sept. 26.
