FEMA And FCC Confirm October National EAS Test, Three Filings Required From Stations
The Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Communications Commission are in alignment and the next test of the Emergency Alert System will be conducted on Oct. 4 at 2:18pm ET with a backup date of Oct.11 if there is widespread severe weather like a hurricane or other significant events. There will also be a test of its sister Wireless Alert System.
